Showing My Face Again…

It’s been a hectic two weeks, and I haven’t really kept up with this whole blogging thing, have I now? I’ve twisted R2D2 (Our clunky, wonderful air conditioner) to face the desk chair and now I’m ready to blog. It definitely doesn’t seem like fall’s approaching. My hair’s twisted in a hideous bun as my hair skills are minimal at best, and I’m in a tank and shorts.

The trip was great, for those of you wondering. We fished most of the time as we were on a lake and there wasn’t much else to do. I actually enjoyed it, which surprised me. I hated keeping the fish and, at risk of sounding wimpy, wanted to throw them all back, but unfortunately that was pretty much it for what we had to eat for dinner each night.

Sure it’s great once in a while, but my grandmother made us eat it every night. When I complained I was shocked to hear, “Well, with all that junk food you’ve been shoveling down I’m sure a few nights of healthy fish will do you good.” One, I hadn’t been eating hardly anything because she got bitchy when I did eat, Two: Soaking fish in grease and Crisco is not healthy. She continued to push the matter and I didn’t hear the end of it until I was safely back in my own house. She’s always been a bit nutty though, so I was expecting it.

How was everyone these past few weeks? Because it’s midnight now, I think I’ll get ready to go to sleep.
